New Chief Technology Officer
SOUTHERN PINES, NC (November 1, 2009) – Security Network of America (SNA) the corporation owned by 36 privately-owned security companies that serve more than 580,000 customers in 37 states and three Canadian provinces, has named Glenn Schroeder to the new position of Chief Technology Officer. The appointment is effective immediately.
“By creating the post of chief technology officer, SNA is taking another step to ensure that our member companies continue to have ready access to the most up-to-date date and pertinent data they need to make informed decisions about implementing new security technologies,” said SNA Managing Director David W. Carter. “With his extensive experience not only in technology implementation but in all aspects of the security industry, Glenn is especially well-suited to successfully meet the challenges our chief technology officer will face.”

Schroeder has nearly 30 years career experience in the security field. Before accepting his current position, he was National Account Manager for government accounts for Stanley Convergent Security Solutions, Vice President of Operational Excellence for North American Video, owner of his own licensed alarm company. InPro, LLC, and Vice President of IT for ADT Security Service. In addition to his background in technology implementation and operations management, Schroeder is experienced in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, industry relations and sales management.
Schroeder brings a particularly strong hands on level of experience to the security industry. IN addition to serving as an active firefighter for more than 15 years, he earned Certification from NICET as an Electronics Technician in Fire Alarm Systems (Level III) and is accredited as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) from the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS).
